Does AndroidTV need more options to be able to split screen between apps? Right now it seems to be limited to FTA tv, and HDMI feeds. The ability to picture in picture NBA and Youtube for example would be awesome.

If you really want PIP side load this app. In general, even the framework supported PIP is bad. You can't change it size or position and imo the default PIP is a bit small.
