Mi box s volume control doesnt work on samsung tv

When i use the volume control on the mi box remote it doesnt control the tv volume, it control the mi box sound.

my tv is samsung ua55es6200 (2012) it does have hdmi cec and it is turned on (it can turn off the tv but does not control the volume of the tv)

the mi box running android 9 (pie) and i just set it up, from the begining it didnt work.

please, if someone know what to do

Cec volume doesn't work on my mi box s either unfortunately. Volume only changes the internal android volume. I moved mine to a TV that I didn't mind. Cec power works though.

Sometimes CEC can be a two-way street. Did you try enabling CEC on your TV and using your TV remote to control your MiBox? It might or might not work.

For me is the same in a Sony TV and an LG. All are good with CEC-turn on and Input change... but it wont control the tvs volume
