Advice before buying RE Plex

I only use Plex for streaming and currently just use standard Chromecast on my TV (no Android TV). Works fine but like the idea of the remote and on screen app that Android TV would give me (thinking of the new Chromecast with Android TV)

Having never used Android TV before, is there a way to make Plex app auto load and never see any suggestions from other streaming apps? I just want Plex on there all the time.

Is this doable? Or am I going to be disappointed?

I think what you're looking for is an app called Launch on boot.

Probably with an app, but not by default. However I do believe there is an apps only mode that is literally just an app list. This is probably what I'll be doing when I get mine.
