I recently started using Google TV and noticed that it tries to show me content from Services to which I don't subscribe. Maybe by design? But is there a way to only show content for the Services I have selected in the settings?

I don't mind them too much. As long as they keep them fresh as it gives me new suggestions.
However, Google TV has been recommending me Hamilton and Artemis Fowl for the past two weeks - nothing else. Just them two. Doesn't seem to matter that I've watched Hamilton already. Still there, every day.
If you want me to take up new services it's gotta keep giving me new stuff to try.
Well, that's how they make money. Those are called ads, and as with most ads, you can't turn them off.
To answer your question: no. At first I was OK with the interface since on the main screen only one row (Trending on Google) showed sources I didn't subscribe to. Then I looked at the "Movies" and "Shows" tabs. Yikes! Almost everything on those tabs is on a service I don't have or available only to rent.
It completely counters the supposed point of presenting relevant content. I say "supposed" because the real aim is to get us to purchase via Google so they get the $. Now I just stick to the main screen and use the apps like it would any other streaming device.
