TV'S in INDIA

Planning to get a 4k tv under 30,000. Samsung, Sony aren't VFM, too pricey imo. So, my list has condensed down to options like Nokia, Iffalcon, Mi, realme, Motorola also the prices are going to decrease because of the Big billion days sale. My favourite among them is the Nokia Tv, great sound quality and features. Now, I do know it's made by some Chinese company, but i'm not really vehement against it as long as it is reliable and VFM. Would you guys recommend it for long term? What other options to look for?

I'd recommend buying a TV, with 4K inputs.

I'd then recommend buying an Android TV box.

You'll be upgrading that Android TV far.more than you will update the TV, so it's a false economy to buy a TV with Android TV inside it. It rarely goes well.

Just get a "very good panel" don't look for anything built in, Don't consider sound, Don't look for software Don't look for more built in features

You can get soundbar or 2.1 system really good really cheap, You can get TV box which you'll change frequently (you can't change built in things) You can add peripherals to TV box like air mouse, wireless mini keyboards, game controllers.

I'll ask you to buy an OLED, QLED or similar non back-lit panel from Samsung, Sony or LG these guys know what they make don't waste money on new and cheap tvs which are LCD with led backlight. Rest is your choice

TCL tv-s are great price. (Especially the 6-series) If else, Make sure to have HDR10 support for it. Most 4k hdr content is HDR10 supported (+consoles too)

Upscaling feature is a good too if you plan to watch tv on it not just 4k content for better image quality.

Don't get fooled by the micro dimming or local dimming features unless its "Full-array" local dimming.

I would suggest going for LG 4K TV (43") which generally goes for 33k or so during offer time. It does have MEMC and HDR10+ support. Service from Nokia, OnePlus, Mi or Moto wont be surely not reliable as LG/Samsung. The software stability is another thing to consider. If you are taking it only for the display quality, then you wouldn't be bothered as you can always plug a Android Box or firestick for stable software experience.

I'd not recommend Motorola or Nokia just for the reason that these two companies are not behind these TVs. They just sold the right to use their brand name to Flipkart. I don't have much faith in flipkart for quality updates or after-sales support.
