Xiaomi Mi Android TV Stick stuck on boot

Hello everyone,

Just got a Xiaomi Mi Android TV Stick and right out of the box is not working. Goes to the Android logo and then powers off and restarts..I can't even do the initial Setup.

Is this a bug or is it already broken right out of the box?

Are you using the mains USB power or power via the TV USB port? The TV USB port power is usually insufficient and causes boot failures.

I returned it, 1GB of RAM and old processor completely kills it. There's no point in buying it unless it's much much cheaper than the new Chromecast with Google TV.
