I think it only pairs once stadia is open
Unfortunately, it seems that you can't cast Stadia to the new Chromecast for the moment. I don't know if that'll change or they'll only (eventually) support the TV app
They said that it won't support Stadia this year during presentation I think.
After seeing that CCWGTV can be used to run Android games I was thinking of getting a Stadia controller to use over Bluetooth. Sounds like it wont even pair with CCWGTV?
I have got the controller to work on occasion, it seems that only certain games will allow initial pairing once paired however it will then allow you to exit and load the rest of your games. You will need to download stadia from a mirror site using downloaded for example. Also a Bluetooth mouse will be needed at first launch.
Whilst playing you can get quite a bit of stutter and freezing and the game may simply exit, I'm using WiFi @ 50mbs, this doesn't happen when using a wired ultra by comparison. A wired USB c hub may solve that.
A solution may by to by a Bluetooth controller which I'm considering.
Only Google would release this without stadia support on launch.
