Shield Tube vs CC Google TV vs Mibox S

hey im buying an android Box for iptv only, i dont have netflix or any other subscription i only need IPTV, my provider is already good but the box that i have has only 128mb of ram and is very laggy.

i have a COBRA ONE SE box i dont think its an android box

wich box will be the best and last longer

NO GAMING or anyhting, Just IPTV

i know shield is the best but is it worth it for 150 ( when its 2015 hardware a little bit optimized)

Mibox seems like a good option for 50 bucks and then maybe a year or two later get a shield 2021 or something new.

google TV in my country is 70 so more expensive than mibox

all i want is IPTV and a box that will last long

I vote for CC Google TV, it's cheaper then the Shield Tube and has a better processor then the Mibox S

You can also put the TiVo Stream 4k in the mix above he MiBox. Either of the newer Android TV devices will run IPTV fine. The Shield would be wasted on this use case.

Shield Tube is 3x the cost of GoogleTv and is simply not worth it for IPTV. And from user reviews and specs it runs just as fast as well.

Stop telling everyone to buy an overpriced Shield no matter what - the ONLY reason to recommend ShieldTv is if the user needs to bitstream hd audio.

Bang for the Buck the new Google Dongle has a powerful enough S905D3 chipset under the hood to do snappy IPTV.

Yes it’s not as fast vs the Shield, but that is overkill simply for only IPTV use.

My mibox s wasn't great with iptv. The TiVo stream 4k is much better with iptv. Tivimate works awesome on it and using the multiple channel picture in picture mode works really well.

I have a mibox 3 for almost 2 yrs and its perfect solution for streaming but I like to go now for the GCCTV for a change

How many channels? What IPTV app?

Mibox will struggle with big number of channels and epg.

For 50 bucks the new Google TV runs IPTV fine with the latest Google Home launcher if that is your thing. Many people who bought the Shield Tube already regretted not buying the Shield PRO for a little more. I would also consider the TiVo 4K if you do not like the Google TV home launcher.

Mi Box for the price, Shield Pro and Google TV that's my order.

Google TV struggled in some tests playing 4K high nitrate video. Also a few bugs must be addressed so it can be recommended to family and friends.

If it's really for IPTV only then Mi Box S should be enough. However I'm not sure if you would experience judder effect or not. Lot of android tv devices have that issue with iptv

I would get a dedicated IPTV box such as a MAG Box, a Formuler or a Buzz TV.
