Overall, the performance of the new Chromecast is good - with the specific exception of the first few clicks whenever I start using it after a few hours. It lags and stuttered initially, then once it catches up, it's fine for the rest of the use session.
This is probably not normal, or I would have heard more about it in reviews. It sounds like a RAM problem to me. Is it possible for me to get a memory manager to see what's up?
I have the same issue from time to time. I also think it could be a RAM issue.
2GB of RAM should be enough, but I suspect the Google TV launcher might use too much of it... I don't knw really
Reviewers most of the time just tell you that a device is good or very good based on several minutes of basic use... and if they it's a review of a device they are excited to test they are often to benevolent and fail to mention those little but still important issues
