happens often with mine. usually if I switch input to xbox or something without turning off CC sometimes it'll allow me to get to settings... only for it to go to home on its own
Happens frequently to me too. First time it even crashed into recovery mode. I contacted Google and they are sending me a replacement but I’m quite sure it’s software related.
I hope this gets to the right people to update a fix. Everytime I go to the home screen and it starts that I'm like please don't get stuck.
I see that happen when returning to the Home screen from pretty much anywhere else or switch inputs then back to the CCwGTV input. In most cases (~90 percent of the time) mine eventually populates but when it does, it's slow as molasses in doing so. Other times when it appears that it will never resolve, I have to unplug and plug it back in which usually gets me going again for a while then it's wash, rinse, repeat. Needless to say, the WAF is out the window at this point and as such, places the CCwGTV in the no go zone for her.
Yes happened to me once think had to pull the plug out
if you can, say "open settings" on your assistant, go to apps list on settings, then under system apps, look for the google tv launcher (or android tv I haven't used Google TV yet) and force close that app. otherwise just use the assistant to launch any show or app.
