Smart YouTube TV + Chromecast with Google TV

Has anyone successfully set Smart Youtube TV as the default YouTube app on the new Chromecast? If so, how?

stop using SmartYoutubeTV and install the same devs new youtube client:

What's even the point of a default YouTube app. There is very little chance that the recommendations on the UI will launch a sideloaded app. Especially one that circumvents the ad system.

I delete the original YouTube App. After that the smart YouTube App works Like a original one. 4k works but No HDR.

For me worked to connect the phone via the enter TV-Code Dialog (not sure how it traslates to other localizations) :)

Seems to work independent to the usual chromecast auto detection
