Google TV suggesting shows on apps not installeed

by G3N3R4L_Bl4Nk5

I just got a Google TV yesterday and pretty immediately noticed something that I'm finding really annoying.

When browsing through the consolidated menu with show suggestions/categories/etc, it has suggestions for shows that are on apps I don't have installed (like suggesting GoT when I don't have an HBO app).

Is there any way to get rid of this, or filter it down to just be on apps that are installed on the device? I don't want app only mode because that sort of kills the whole differentiator between Google TV and other platforms like Roku.

That's normal unfortunately... That's why I decided to use a 3rd party launcher, which isn't so nice looking but it's way less annoying.

On the For You tab, scroll all the way to the bottom. There is a Get Better Recommendations clickable option were you can filter the content to only the services you use. You may need to restart your device.

Note: This will not have an impact on the Movies or Shows tabs.

Perhaps give it a few days to actually know what you watch, see if the recommendations get better. it will probably never be completely free of non subscribed apps simply because there are a lot of places to fill.

Yes, just install those apps for which you get suggestions and you've not installed already.
When done you'll only get suggestions for apps that you have installed indeed.
