As the title suggests I'm curious to know if anyone has tried to put the android tv launcher onto a chromecast w/ google tv I attempted to do this ( https://www.howtogeek.com/693761/how-to-get-the-google-tv-ui-on-android-tv-devices-right-now/ ) except disabling the GTV launcher hoping it would pick up the ATV launcher but no joy
Probably not going to work on Android TV 10. That way any OEM that wants to upgrade past Android TV 9 has to use the new UI. Just a thought.
Google TV just a different launcher, it's still running Android TV 10 under the hood. You can sideload the Android TV (Leanback) launcher similar process to how you get the Google TV launcher on non-Chromecast devices, just switch the launchers around and you should be good to go
I installed ATV Launcher Pro on the CGTV, no regrets.
