What are the alternatives for VLC Player if you want to Chromecast?

I am having lots of bugs with VLC and chromecasting movies onto my Android TV. I understand that Chromecast is still a buggy mess, having experienced bugs all over in Chrome, Youtube App, VLC and Android TV. Maybe one of you has tamed the bugfest and/or knows a good Video Player whose Chromecast feature works better than VLC. I'm interested in free as well as paid Software.

SOLUTION:

I just found a free player, that is super simple and works great! Additionally my remote control of chromecast works with this one. It never worked with VLC.

Which version of VLC are you on ? I reckon most of the bugs have been corrected in the latests builds. Try updating manually https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/videolabs/vlc/vlc-3-3-2-beta-1-release/

Try bubbleupnp I have tried lots of apps but this is the best. I supports x265 too (didn't found any other app that supports hevc encoding except this one). External Subtitles work like charm. Bubbleupnp Buy paid version free one has some limitations
