I've recently bought a Motorola TV and I want to install Google TV on it. I've tried following this tutorial but my TV doesn't show the option for Network Debugging. I don't have a USB-A to USB-A cable, but I have a USB-C one through which I tried using adb. My TV still doesn't show up in the adb devices attached. What can I do now?
Some of the OEMs have the network debugging turned off. Same with OnePlus TV. Usb A to Usb A is the only way in such cases. Now coming to what you are planning to do, let me warn you that right now there's no point in maiking Google Tv as default in India as most of the stuff doesn't work without VPN. Is there a particular reason you want to change it as default?
It is not visible in my tv as well but network debugging works. I have enabled usb debugging.
Carefull men, if its not officially supported stuff you might brick your device
I installed new Google TV with that tutorial on my shield tv pro 2019 and it messed up the whole thing had to full reset it, many other users had the same experience. Check ShieldTV sub. Not recommending it at all.
