Mine stopped working because of a wireless usb which was connected. Is your system up to date? Because then it might be a hardware problem
What device is this?
If the return window is still open, return it and get a Vu or HiSense TV. Like the other guy said, trying to get Mi device to work is just a waste of time.
Call customer service.
Dont know about specific device, but my TV had this once - for me it was because the remote lost bluetooth connection, but IR worked fine (so most of the other buttons worked, except for the keyboard on the back of remote), so I had to re-pair remote again.
Exchange the entire thing.
I had this happen with the shield that I bought. I worked with their support team and it was determined that the remote was bad (voice worked through the shield controller).
I received the new remote and it still didn't work. I performed a factory reset on the device. I tried different remotes. And it simply would not work with a remote.
And through a couple of software updates, it still doesn't work.
Return it
Where do I buy these remotes?
sometimes it doesn't works.
Most of the time it's problem with the app you are using, like Google Voice search, Youtube voice search or any.
Is there a USB connected to the tv? In that case remove and restart, helps out for me
Don’t waste your energies with this stuff on the smaller brands. It’s a time drain. I did it for a long time and then finally coughed up for a shield, and regret all that wasted time. Just return it and get the shield tube or save up for it.
What does the mi Button do?
You have to press & hold the middle key (round one) while speaking and leave it when you're done saying. I had the same issue
Settings> Apps> Google (com.google.android.katniss) > uninstall updates.
And disabled google play app autoupdate.
Get the new chrome cast
