I searched for an Apple TV+ app on my Nvidia Shield TV Playstore last night and didn't find anything. Looking forward to being able to use that soon.

I think it’s pretty obvious Apple are doing deals first with:

• the biggest streaming device manufacturers, Roku, Amazon etc..
• the Smart TV manufacturers that have the biggest market shares
• companies that produce their own original Movies / TV content, eg. Sony

At what point does this practice of blocking certain devices become anti competitive?

Hopefully it gets ported to google tv

It's there for the purpose of App updates, it must be rolled out by the OEM first, much like how Prime Video Works where some devices don't have it with others do.

I don’t see it for my 2019 KD-49XG9005. Sigh. I tired a Sony apk before and it was locked by Apple/Sony and said please update my system to the latest version. Sigh.

hello, with adblink, you can activate the application "pm enable com.apple.atve.sony.appletv" but it will ask you for an update of the sony tv software afterwards to see if by adding some sony tv element it allows to launch it (I'm on a xiomi box s)

Just searched on my X850G and it’s not there. 2019 Sony model doesn’t have it. Fuck Sony.
