Multiple ACTIVE controllers on Chromecast with Google TV...?

by choobakka

Hi all,

I've been looking around but can't find a definitive answer.

I know that multiple controllers can be connected to the new Chromecast with Google TV but I'm getting mixed results when it comes to actually using more than one.

For example, if I wanted to emulate Mario Kart, I have no doubt that I could connect any Bluetooth controller (or wired) and be on my way but what if I wanted to play local co-op? Is it possible for 2 (or more) Bluetooth (or wired) controllers to be connected to the new Chromecast with Google TV AND active at the same time, allowing for local co-op?

I just got Mario Kart working using m64plus fz with 2 Xbox series x controllers. I kept getting pairing fails on the second controller, but renamed first controller and then stood close to Chromecast to finally pair the second one. Not sure which thing actually fixed it. I then set the profile to multiplayer with m64plus. Then it all worked!

Yup, I’ve done it. It works

I've done it with 3. 2 wired logitech controllers and 1 bluetooth keyboard playing overcooked over steam link.

Not working for me. I paired two Bluetooth Xbox one controllers to the chrome cast with Google TV and in a local co op game, both controllers act as player 1. I can't seem to separate them into different controllers for some reason.
