Just got a new (M586X) tv, moving from an old Sansui SLED3900. I've been using the Stream TV sucessfully with the older Sansui all summer, and after simply swapping over to the newer Vizio, sound does not work.
I've exhausted every audio setting I can think of but can't get sound to come out. Odd thing is, the music (starts with fluuid water sounds) when pairing the remote will play normally, but as soon as I exit the pairing tool sound stops working. Has anyone dealt with anything like this? I know it's a relatively new device but would appreciate any insight.
UPDATE: There's probably some audio setting that causes the Stream TV and Vizio to not play nice with eachother. I ended up purchasing a Chromecast w/ Google TV and it works as intended. I'll keep playing with the Stream TV and will update if I figure it out.
UPDATE 2: Same issue with the Chromecast. Sound doesn't work unless I perform a factory reset of the TV. Pretty unusual so I'm just going to return it. Can't recommend the TV with this issue being replicated so easily.
Make sure the Android TV volume is high enough.
On my Mi Box, system sounds go through even if the Android TV volume is at 1, so I can hear the sound when I move around, but there is no sound from any video. It might be the same thing on the Verizon Stream TV.
