Chromecast w/ GoogleTV: Display preferences resetting after every standby off/on

by riccardo-91

Hello, I am facing some problems with the screen frequency. I manually select 1080p 50Hz since most of the contents I watch require this, but everytime I turn off and on using the power button (binded to CEC) the resolution is back on 1080p 60Hz .

This is not happening if I reboot the chromecast , in that case my Hisense TV still detects the 50Hz.

I have checked on my Hisense TV some settings about it, but there isn't anything related to the frequency.

I have tried even unplugging the Nintendo Switch, but the problem persists.

Someone else is facing the same problem?

That's lousey. It almost sounds like the TV turning on is triggering some type of display autodetect on the Chromecast. This is really odd since you say you set it manually on the Chromecast?

Maybe try disabling CEC on both ends temporarily to see if that stops whatever handshake is happening.

Yes, mine held 4k 60fps fine until this last update at now its constantly resetting to 1080p 60fps.

Which is why my HDCP level limits me to, but before it would stick with my setting. It upscales better than my TV does.

I have the issue too, I set it to 4k and it reset to 1080p60 everytime.

It used to work fine. No other devices that I tested did this, I hope they will fix it "soon".
