Speaker group integration

Has anyone been able to install the Chromecast built in app from the new Chromecast with Google TV on another box (let's say a Shield TV)?

Maybe that could be a way to bring back the speaker group integration for android tv that Google made available last spring...

I've been trying to set up speaker groups with both my Shield and Vizio built in chromecast, and despite installing beta channel chromecast on shield, no luck :(

I tried the beta app on Android TV 9 box. Never got speaker group option .

Installed chromecast apk from the Google tv box onto the Android TV 9 box and while it works... No speaker group option for the box still
