I recently got a Xiaomi Mi TV 4S with Android TV, I have an issue where Netflix automatically changes the Picture settings to a Preset one , named HDR, and everytime I play a movie/video, I have to manually switch the setting to custom. Is there a way I can avoid this?
HDR content is a new technology in which more colors are displayed than was possible before, namely darker darks and brighter brights. The settings for standard picture don't work with HDR and vice versa. If you're playing HDR content then HDR mode will be automatically engaged. I'm not sure if you can override the HDR settings themselves, but I just wanted to write this to describe that HDR is not simply a 'preset', it's a whole different technology.
