Netflix App for Android TV added a feature similar to "Surprise Me". It will play a random title based on your watch history, when you don't know what to watch. Would you use it?

I'll try it, sometimes I just want background noise, but if the choices are bad then I'll just stop using it.

Seeda_Boo

No. The recommendation algorithms in Netflix suck. As do most such recommendation "features."

NuMotiv

Been on literal android tvs (sony etc) for some time.

vapocalypse52

I still don't have this, but I'd definitely use it!

melinte

I tried it, found it to be shit.

enrique131

not a chance

G0rd0nFr33m4n

No. If I can't find anything to watch I'll do something else.

WhistlerBlue

No. I've found algorithms like this never work because it doesn't allow you to feed it information (Do you like Thriller or Horror? Do you hate Action? etc.)

I'm meticulous when it comes to what I watch, and this feature just seems stupid to me.

dontgive_afuck

Probably, if I wanted to watch something as I was going to sleep or play something for background "noise" purposes. But probably not for something I was planning to enjoy on a deeper level.
Netflix has a way with either not recommending anything I would truly enjoy or simply just shilling their newest exclusive! production.

xobilae

Nope

boredElf

They should give it a name. How about Max?

SimShade

I wish YouTube had this. My parents are always making me feel self-conscious about what I watch (e.g. “why are you always watching this person?”) so that button would be great, I can just blame it on that lol

QuasarMonsanto

I'd use it for specific shows (anything not serialized), but I don't think I'd trust it to not just serve me whatever Netflix marketing decides needs promotion.

pim312

Probably not, I am very picky in what I want to watch

yaksh26

NEVER

zuginator1

Had this for awhile (probably a couple of months) in the Netflix app on my Samsung TV.

thanosavarkar

I don't have it.
