I bought a new Chromecast with android TV but I am unable to prevent it from going into sleep mode. I set turned on the developer options and set it to not go to sleep while charging to no avail.
Is there a way to prevent it from sleeping? I use Kodi, and I would prefer android TV to stay on so that Kodi can auto update its library among other things.
I thought I was having a similar problem, but it turns out I had the remote power button settings wrong. Make sure your power button is specifically just turning your TV off via Infrared (not CEC).
If you've already used developer settings to keep the screen on it should otherwise absolutely not be going to sleep.
