Just got an ad for the movie Songbird in the top carousel that explicitly says "Sponsored." First time seeing that. It disappeared when I scrolled through the carousel and I can't trigger it anymore.
Also Songbird has a 9% Rotten rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
That's always been a thing since they launched the carousel on Android TV devices. Some are recommendations some are sponsored ads. Lots of shade was thrown when it was launched.
I wouldn't mind so much if the ads were for movies and shows on the services I subscribe to.
If you find any way of turning this entire "suggestions" section off, please do tell. I've disabled auto updates on my apps on my Sony TV just to prevent the launcher from updating and getting this enyire utterly annoying 'feature'.
For You tab show us 3-5 ads covering 3/5 of screen at start, next a row of featured content and 3 rows down our watching lists and recommendations. After more featured content mixed with personal results. Proposing movies with 5% Rotten is a feature...
