Downloading HBO Max on Nvidia Shield in Canada?

Question

I managed to get a subscription to HBO Max here in Canada and I was looking to buy a Nvidia Shield to stream it on my television.

Is there anything special I would need to do to load the app on a shield?

I have a canadian google account and I use Windscribe for a VPN service.

Wanted to see if this works before I shell out the $$ for a shield.

Also, would this be possible on one of the new Chromecasts? That would be nice since it's a little bit cheaper.

You can just create a US Google account download the app onto the device and revert back to your Canada Google account. I personally have a US,Canadian and UK accounts set up on the same shield tv.
