If you don't like ads install smart YouTube next and ditch that standard YouTube app. Not related to your home screen but you'll like it anyway.
Is this ATV Launcher? I don't remember it looked like this
Would love to do this on mine. Could you please list what you did, launchers, widgets etc
What kind of add you have with stock launcher?
I don't have any
Looking nice! Also please name of the widgets
I haven't had any add so far, maybe only in U.S.
How?
how did you do this
Welcome to the Club, did this a couple months back with ATV Launcher Pro on the CGTV.
I have decent luck with pihole blocking the ads
I am not able to set default launcher on my mi box s. Isn't it hidden somewhere in setting?
Ooh that looks lovely.
I've got a Mi Box S. Can I get this kind of set up on that too?
Will I have to fork out for the paid version to this?
well they are an ad company
What app did you use to set your wallpaper, since ATV Launcher Pro has that bug still.
Did you have to adb into the device to enable widgets? Atv gets hung up there but I'm a little leery of that step.
I turned off automatic updates on both of my boxes (Mi Box S, Nvidia Shield TV) and then I just never update the "Android TV Home" app and I still see the non-updated ATV home screen (I.e. no ads). You can probably "roll back" (uninstall all updates) to that app if you have already updated it.
Is that the Wolf Launcher? That is what I use on my FireTV Stick Lite instead of the bloated Amazon launcher.
are those widgets from kwgt???
Where did you make the changes from? I have not seen a place in settings.
I don’t think recommendation considered as ads.
But anyway, if you don want to see all those recommendation you can set the home screen on “apps only mode”. It will only show your app icons, without anybsingle recommendation nor contents.
It’s in accout setting.
Is it ads ? Or recommendations from the services you are paying for because to me ads are things like nappies and commercial stuff.. you won't call netflix content ads.. because you are paying for it. Google doesn't earn anything from recommending you the film on Netflix when they could recommend you it on Google movies..
Maybe I'm lost here, but I've never seen a single ad. I'm not sticking up for Google, I'm legitimately wondering what people are talking about. Android TV recommends things to me, but that's because I chose to let it. If it's showing me something that I have to pay to use that I do not CURRENTLY have, then it's an ad. Maybe someone can share a screen shot?
