I have three TCL Roku TV's, and went with an TCL AndroidTV for my 4th. It has no ability to recognize HDMI power off signals, it just lingers on a "No Input" error screen for 15 minutes until the sleep function kicks in. Google Home doesn't recognize it. It is there, in my list of home devices, but there are no options for it, and no amount of "Hey Google Turn off the TV" will control it. The "built in chromecast" doesn't even show up unless you manually turn the TV on first. HDMI devices do wake the TV, but instead of doing to the HDMI input it just goes to the AndroidTV home screen.
The RokuTVs do all of the above flawlessly, including a chromecast signal when the TV is off that wakes the TV.
I cannot find one single advantage AndroidTV has over Roku, what is the point of it?
