I bought Tenet but the audio is in Russian.

I bought the movie from Google TV on my phone. It plays in English there. But on my Chromecast with remote it plays in what I think is Russian. The language is set to English on both. Any ideas? I've already restarted the chromecast.

Jokes aside, maybe your location is wrong? The chromecast's location services.

So I got it to cast in English on another TV. But it might as well be in Greek because I have no fuckikg clue what's going on

Ideas? You can learn Russian. This is the best solution.

I know this doesn't help your situation at all, but for whatever it's worth, it's a mess of a film.

Totally normal, they speak in Russian at the beginning of the movie, even in the English version. It's like in action movies, terrorists always speak Arabic, never English.

so weird. does it do the same thing if you cast it from your phone to the Chromecast instead of start it there?

Try this:

  1. Play the movie
  2. Pause the movie
  3. Click on the button between the play/pause button and the gear button
  4. A menu for captions and audio languages should appear. Select English under Audio.

Same issue mine stuck on japanese, I've switched the audio settings thru the different language, it will not switch to anything other than Japanese
