Is There a Way to force Close Spotify?

So I tried voice searching for a movie, and for whatever reason, google TV just started playing some song off Spotify (I don't even have the Spotify app installed, wtf?) and now I can't "stop" the app. I can pause the music, but no matter what I do, it says that it's always playing (so when screensaver comes on, it shows the icon of the song in the bottom left, which is bad for my OLED as it will create burn-in).

I think the song also seems to be stopping screensaver from coming on altogether, which with an OLED LG C8, really really worries me.

If I can't figure this out, I will need to go back to webOS :(

Did you open the app and then keep hitting back? It should ask to close at one point. You can also go into settings and apps then force stop

It's annoying as hell. I just disabled background playback. Now it stops when I exit.

  • Hold the Home button to launch the app drawer

  • Highlight Spotify, hold the OK button to show the options

  • Select App Info then Force Stop

If you go to settings>apps is spotify listed there?

Update: The song went away after turning my TV off for a few hours.
