Match content dynamic range in the Chromecast with Google TV

Question

For better picture quality, is it better to turn on or off the Match Content Dynamic range in the settings? I did notice that whenever I turn it on, the gamma setting on my tv changes from ST 2084 to BT 1886 and im not really sure which one is better

You want it on. With it on, the tv will correctly display both HDR and SDR content as originally intended, and you’ll be able to set the settings individually for both types of content.

I actually had to turn this on due to the fact that my CCwGTV would turn off my display every 30 minutes or so when watching content. Turned that on and now it stays on.
