I just got my mother a Google Tab for Christmas to replace our fire stick and even after a factory reset after about 2-10mins it automatically turns off the WiFi connection. I don’t mean it disconnected from the WiFi, it completely turns off connections until you go back into settings and re-enable it for it to turn back off again after another few minutes. What could be the cause of this? I’ve tried updating firmware and moving the device throughout the house with no avail
TONS of people are reporting this issue with their brand new Google TV + Chromecast dongles. WiFi is turned completely off after a period of time and you have to manually turn it back on to use the dongle again.
So far, Google has offered no support, nor did their most recent firmware update fix it.
This is a widespread problem.
