This happened to mine once. My son was running around the room pressing random buttons on the remote. A push of the reset button at the back of the CC was enough to sort it. Not had any problems since.
Like most things in the android/google ecosystem, this is awesome and terrible at the same time.
I just got that too!
I hope some dev unlock the bootloader of this device.

I recently just purchased a Chromecast w/ Google TV less than a wk ago... How in the heck did yours fvck up? Never had your aforementioned issue on my other Android TV devices.

I also got this on one of mine, any idea what caused it. I just pressed the reset button on the chromecast and it fixed it (without factory resetting anything either!) but it made me really anxious that I had bricked it somehow.
I've had 3 of mine do this now. Way to go Google!
Booted up my Google Tv tonight, i guess it failed and brought me into the bootloader.
Fyi, you can't use the remote here, have to use the single button on the device. Single press for switching options, long press for selecting.
