The TV connects to my bluetooth headphones even when it's asleep

by m_danya

Hi everyone! I've got an annoying problem: since Mi Box S doesn't fully shutdowns when I press the power button, it continues trying connecting to my headphones (I want to use them both on the TV and other devices) and it's really succeeds in this: in 90% of cases my phone / laptop just doesn't have time to connect to earphones, Mi Box is really fast! Every time this happens, I have to go to the living room and unplug the Mi Box.

My ideas on how to solve the problem :

  1. Always unplug Mi Box. It works, but I need a more elegant solution. Also, I'm not the only one who uses this gadget, so I'll have to make sure that every its user will unplug it every time.
  2. Turn off the bluetooth by special program. It's not really convinient, because the remote controller is also uses bluetooth to connect (however, I could use Android TV Remote control program to interact with TV and turn bluetooth on manually every time, but that's very complicated)
  3. Turn off bluetooth automatically when the device wakes up? (I could write such an application, but I don't know where to start and if it's even possible given the Android security constraints)
  4. Remove the earphones from bluetooth devices list (quite inconvenient)

I would really appreciate it if someone could share a possible solution to my problem. Thanks!

Un-pairing the earphone after your use would be the best solution in your case. Or else you can get an earphone that supports multi-point.

By the way, once you turn off Mi Box totally and connect earphones with your laptop, doesn't the earphones next time connect to laptop only?

PS:I tried an app from playstore that supposed to turn off Bluetooth seeking, but din work for me. You can check if it works for you. Name's "Bluetooth Discovery off" I guess.
