I have the google tv purchased a few months ago and does anyone know why certain apps are not available? I live in Canada and was really hoping the TSN app would be available but it is not. I can still cast this app from my phone to the Google TV but that is not what i want to do.
Any help would be great!
TSN (Bell Media) Never Created A TV app for Android. Only mobile that is why you cannot view the app properly.
Basically you have to send feedback on the App and hope that they listen.
Bell Media is a shit show. Like the CTV App works with Android TV.... But not the CP24 App... It makes no sense. The CTV App has a bunch of their CTV stations already, why don't they just create a Bell Media App and let your stream any Bell Media channel that you pay for on your cable subscription? There isn't any technical limitation or licensing issue as they own the channels... The answer is either that they are anti-consumer or that they are fucking idiots.... I think it's the latter.
Your only choice right now is to load the App on your phone / tablet and cast it to your Android TV.
Following! I’ve side loaded it and it’s a complete nightmare. It’s vertical and I can even get to the “Live” part at the bottom to watch

I have google play on the new kindle HD 10 plus, and the TSN app wont work when sideloaded. I'm guessing it's the same security feature that prevents applications like Netflix from being run when its on a device that has play store sideloaded. Works fine on my iphone but would ne nice to have it on a tablet at the gym for the bigger screen.

My understanding, most of Android apps are coded for touch or game controller, not TV remotes. If the app in question hasn't been adapted for the TV, it won't be listed it in the Play Store on the TV.
