Philips TV Help. Brought a Philips TV 50PUS8505 and the screen looks like you’re looking at it from an angle (like a laptop) but only on dark movies. Any help to fix this please, I have already been through settings and tried changing but no luck

That's odd (and frustrating, I'm sure!). I have two ideas that might help. First, look for the Accessibility settings menu and make sure all settings are correct. Pay close attention to color adjustment options.

Second, try different color settings (Where you can change display settings), and just try different settings in case your answer is somewhere in there.

The last option would be to perform a factory reset. If the problem persists after a full reset, it's probably the TV itself.

I had a very similar issue while watching Ozark on Netflix with my dad on his Samsung 4k TV. After playing around with all the TV settings without seeing any improvements, as soon as we tried watching a non-Netflix original show on Netflix, the issue went away.

From what I have read online, it seems to be caused by an incompatibility between Dolby Vision HDR (the standard that Netflix uses in their orginal shows) and the HDR10 standard that Samsung uses in their TV's. I guess they don't work well together.

I wonder if something similar is happening with your new Philips TV. It is very frustrating!
