Disney+ Hotstar 4K and Dolby Vision Issues

From the time Disney+ Hotstar has introduced 4K and DV for Android TV in India, I've always experienced that those particular titles never actually play in the 4K/DV till some time period. Even when it eventually does after some days, the playback suffers. Finally, after a week or so, they tend to play fine.
For example, the recently released Wanda Vision though says DV, doesn't play in DV.
I want to know if this experience is specific to the OnePlus TVs or is faced by other Android TV Users too.

PS: The present APK version is 4.1.7.

Your TV is atleast able to open Hotstar. My 2 days old Bravia can't even open Hotstar or other apps.

I'm curious.. how do you determine whether a show is playing in 4k Dolby Vision mode ???

If only I have DV enabled TV, I would test it for you. But I only have Shield and Disney+ Hotstar subscription in Indonesia (shouldn’t be too much difference apart from lack of Starz)

That particular title doesn't play with Dolby Vision for some unknown reason. Other DV titles do play DV immediately without any issue on my Panasonic Android TV.

What a fuking joke is this company i hate hotstar. I literally have the best tv in the market right now lg cx And hotstar doesn't even have 4k support i was waiting for my oled to watch the mandalorian in it's all glory but hotstar fuked with me
