There is an issue where the app doesn't pick the microphone of any UVC webcam, on some devices it picks the microphone of the remote but it stops working after a few seconds, the issue was reported at the Issue Tracker website where you can add your comment about this, Google is reportedly working on the issue but still hasn't provided a fix.
I use a Logitech c920 webcam with sony xh90 and i have the same issue with microphone in Google Duo
Wait, how long have you been able to make Duo calls on Android TV?
Anyone had luck fixing webcam mics?
I noticed the issue today where my webcams working but I'm not transmitting sound.
Id really rather not need to find an external mic as my tv lacks an extra usb port :(
Does anyone have any solutions or suggestions?
You need a separate USB mic and set USB OTG to allow audio instead charging. IMG-20220106-172936.jpg
You can’t use your Android TV remote for audio on Duo calls. You need a separate microphone.
