Is using a torrent streaming app bad for my Android TV?

by bazzic

I've read somewhere that using a torrent streaming app is bad due to being constantly writing and deleting data multiple times and because memory chips have a limited number of times they can be written to, torrent streaming eats into that.

Is this a legit concern that I should have? If so, how can I decrease the risk of messing up my TV? I've been using Stremio for quite some time, but I never heard about this until now.

I use kodi + elementium which uses ram instead of dusk space

If you want to stay safe, plug in some USB stick and install apps on that stick or, at least, save torrents on stick.

The flash memory will still outlast the useful life of the product unless you get really unlucky

What do people prefer, Elementum with Kodi or Stremio? I want to be able to stream/download private torrents too
