Hi not sure if this is helpful to you now that it’s been over 2 months but thought I should post it anyway so if you or anyone else wants to change the terrible Foxtel launcher lol

If you try to use a launcher straight off the App Store It does not work due to it being recognized by Foxtel as a launcher

{If you don’t want to go through the trouble of getting and modifying the launcher apk yourself I will put a link at the bottom with some already modified launcher’s and the app’s you need to make it feel like the default launcher}

{I recommend using the ATV or Wolf launchers I find them to be easy to use and can be customized easily but that is personal opinion}

So you need to:

1.Get a launcher apk

2.Decompile the apk {I used APK studio}

3.Modify the config file.xml in the decompiled code and remove a line in the code that refers to HOME which is related to launchers on the Android TV platform This is what Foxtel looks for when it decides if an app should be blocked

4.Once completed, recompile and copy to your TV box

5.Install APK

Setup

I haven’t found a way to disable the Foxtel launcher and change the default launcher but I use launch on boot to automatically open the launcher on start up and button mapper to set the Foxtel remote’s home and app buttons to open the launcher so it feels like the default launcher
