Advice for new android TV box

by grinchisthicc

I am looking for a cheap android TV box (under $75) that I can buy on Amazon. I do not care about brand names. It needs to support all of my apps: Locast, Peacock, HBO Max, Discovery+, Philo, Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, Prime Video, PBS, Pluto TV, Filmrise, Tubi, Crackle, Xumo, Spotify, Airy TV, Hoopla, VUDU, and Plex. I would also like for it to have Chromecast support and also support for connecting a external hard drive to it for watching movies, but those are not needs.

So you're basically looking for the new chromecast with Google TV

Best bet would be the new Chromecast with Google TV. It costs $50. It's not available on Amazon, but it can be ordered from Best Buy, Walmart, Target, etc. You'll need to buy a powered USB hub if you want to attach a drive , though. You can get an Aukey model that works with CCwGTV for about $35.

Edit: since the hub will draw power for itself, the Chromecast, and running the drive you'd probably need an additional, larger power brick as well.

CCwGTV and Dynalink are very comparable in specs and performance. I prefer the Dynalink remote. The ATV vs GTV OS comes down to preference.

Tivo Stream 4k, less than $40 USD.... IMHO, it is superior to the Dynalink, I have both. The Tivo has a more mature firmware.

Buy AmLogic a95x max.

4gb working memory, 64gb free for programs, games.more by sd-card 2.4ghz and 5ghz wifi, bluethoot, 3 USB 3.0, 1 USB 2.0, SD-card up to 512gb, 2,5" sata bay up to 2000gb sata. Optional : bt-gamepad, cordless mouse or Air mouse, keyboard, any bt device.. Full 4k, or best your tv can do, Every android program runs on it, phone or androidTV. Play Store is same as phone so more programs from play store, but u can sideload pirate movies software, just remember VPN. And androidTV softwares can sideloaded too. I recommend even cordless mouse or Air mouse, so "touching' is easier. Phone versions of software works like phone, by fingering whit mouse. AndroidTV softwares works better whit remote Control. U can but sata 2000gb Sdd drive, 512 SD card, and even USB sticks for games. And Stadia works too!!

I picked up a couple of the Dynalink boxes from Walmart. They are on sale for $30 and are amazingly good.

Buy a pi4 and put that hard drive on the network. Quit lugging it around like it's a fucking zip drive in 2001.

Y'all mother fuckers digging in your heels at shitty methods. Pi4 Ethernet to a router with a usb3 hard drive.

Sabnzbd and sickbeard servers. Samba share the hard drive.

Connect the Kodi to the share.
