Verizon stream TV

by Kill4Nic__420

I received a Verizon stream tv for free as part of a promotion. Now I go to turn it on this morning and get an error message saying that android is corrupted. How tf do they not have a hard reset button. Who’s designing them? A fucking 5 year old! I guess it’s time to get out the alligator clips and a power source. Ps. There’s no information on this, so if anyone has the design schematics, plz send them my way.

I had the same issue with mine. There is no way to fix it without a USB port.

I called Verizon and for a free replacement

Why wouldn't you contact Verizon directly? More than likely it's defective and needs replacement.

Also you would probably get better help in the Verizon community message boards

How tf do they not have a hard reset button

It's to the left of the HDMI port.

Look at the bright side... if I get a replacement, I’ll have an extra to blow up for the internet

What did you end up doing? Mine just showed the same sign

I purchased one and I received the same error. I tried everything to try and do a factory reset. I contacted Verizon and I got a replacement. Well today I bought a new tv. I shut the stream down and unplugged it and the HDMI cable. When I hooked it to the new tv and powered it on I got the same error. This time I was able to use a mini usb keyboard to select factory reset. But after the reset the error showed back up, So i'm thinking there is some kind of hardware issue with the HDMI port.

If it helps, I contacted Verizon directly and told them there is no way to fix mine (won't pair with remote anymore) since there is no reset. After a discussion, they mailed me out a new 2nd Gen Stream TV instead (free of cost). The person I spoke (over chat) was acutely aware of the lack of a reset button on the 1st gen, I think it's been a massive headache for support. Luck of the draw, but keep trying eventually you'll meet a solid support person that can help out!
