This is just a warning to anyone who might be searching for info on this device.
None of the services mentioned in the title work with the box. It's functionally less useful than a basic Chromecast dongle.
It's a shame because in terms of performance and build quality it's pretty good.
FYI, mine came in a few days ago and really impressed.
Also, look at clarkss12's review. He has a post to the Netflix app that can be loaded. Don't have a 4k TV (yet) but can confirm 1080p worked with no issue (using the remote, no mouse)
Considering you can side load the Netflix app and apparently play up to 4K, its not bad at all.
Installed TiViMate, Plex, Kodi, and Netflix. So far, my only disappoinment is not being able to passthrough DTS-MA via Plex app to my Yamaha receiver that can handle it.
Everybody already knows that Netflix it's not certified on Mecool devices, BUT, if a particular app is not available it's because its developers must activate the availability in the Play Store console to be able to find it in the Play Store, if you must, get in contact with them so they can fix it.
Everything mentioned in the title actually does work on the Mecool technically. Just means you have to sideload it. Much like people have been doing for years with Amazon Fire devices and others. You won’t get the same level of quality viewing, but they do work.
Thanks for the notice! The KM6 was honestly a strong contender for me for my first android box. But after doing my due diligence I realized it's better off to go with CCwGTV at this price range purely on the seamless support and security updates you'll be getting. I'd rather not sideload apps that may or may not have all the functionalities supported by the device but hey, maybe that's just me 🤷🏻♂️
I had read the box had a problem with apps. I tried Kodi, terrible results. I have the classic not the deluxe. Three days later the box has ceased to play anything. 4K in Kodi is not functioning.
Can you still cast iPlayer and ITV Hub?
Has anyone had an issue where prime video was not supported? This is listed as an out of the box feature. The remote even has a dedicated button, but when I started to set mine up the prime video button didn't respond. When i checked the app in the play store it said it wasn't supported! Has anyone else experienced this? Is there something I need to do? I've contacted Mecool support, but response yet.
My Mecool KM6 Deluxe just did a weird thing. The onscreen keyboard just changed...it now takes up the bottom half of the screen, and the remote no longer controls it. Anyone else had this problem? I'd rather not have to do a hard reset.

Received my Mecool KM6 Deluxe yesterday. Made a video of it. I also added a modded Netflix apk that supports HDR and automatic frame rate switching....... Very impressed with it.
