I have a Sony A8G and was gifted a Samsung Bluetooth sound bar. It connects fine in the settings and functions normally BUT every time I turn off the tv it disconnects the speaker and then doesn’t reconnect automatically when I turn it back on. I have to manually go back in to reconnect. Is that normal? Is there a settings that I can check to auto reconnect when the tv is turned back on? Thanks!
I have this issue with my MiBoxS and a cheap soundbar. The 3.5mm jack stopped working, so I switched to Bluetooth and while that works, it does indeed disconnect after a few hours. Since I mostly use the MiBox for Kodi, Kodi actually has a setting to keep the audio connection alive and when toggling this, I no longer have this problem.
Look in your TV Settings for some kind of audio "Keep alive" setting.
Why don't you use a physical connection bluetooth is a horrible way to connect a soundbar?
