I've moved all my data to a 16GB usb flash drive. I have 2.2GB of free internal storage. But I still can't update any of my apps??? I can install as many new ones as I want. But can't keep the already installed ones up to date? Extremely frustrating. any ideas?
I've tried clearing the cache data on Google Play Store, Google Play Services, all apps, restarting. nothing
The Insufficient Storage alert appears every so often on one my TVs running on board Android TV. Clearing the data/cache of specific apps usually clears it up.
Did you happen to notice apps using a large amount of data cached? And when you cleared those did it free up that space in storage? It usually was pretty clear which ones were the culprit in my case, using 1 GB or more of cached data.
Maybe before a restore to factory, you could try uninstalling a few apps first and a restart to see if the storage issues clear up before reinstalling.
how did you get a flash drive to work on your tv?
Probably not the answer you are hoping for, but I’d just factory reset the TV and download the apps again.
