Using a Bluetooth remote from another manufacturer?

Hi Everyone,

I just bought a Sony X900H and the remote is utter crap. I have a Bluetooth remote from my Hisense TV that broke and paired it with the Sony. It works, but half the buttons aren't mapped to anything. Is there a way I can map the buttons to functions/apps on the TV?

There is a app called mapper or something like that on the Android Store. Maybe it can help

I can tell you my Nexus Player remote appears to work on almost anything. Excluding the voice control.

I use firestick remotes with my ematic/Jetstream and mibox.
