So with the use of a VPN on my ccwgtv I got what I think is about as close as I'm going to get to the new android TV UI w/o ads & imo if it's like this I could live with it

this is what i see in Hong Kong where no official google tv launched. it is WORST than original android tv home screen

  1. the app row contains maximum of 12 apps, from 13 onwards, you have to enter through "All Apps" which is a few more clicks

  2. the channel rows below is not customizable, no re-order or toggling on off

So that's the version we get in countries where Google didn't officially launched the new CC (I see the same in Belgium).

Did the update appear on Play store after you connected to the vpn?

Oh no dont like server side updates it takes ages to come and mostly stabilized itself next week I guess The crazy part is that they will have to update the app itself at some point sometime

How to get it updated? I need to install a VPN, set it to US and then what?
