LeEco apps not working

by Bowdragon

I wanted a tv in my bedroom and a friend offered me a 55” LeEco for only $100. It was in the box and he said it hadn’t really been used. It appears to be in great condition, no scratches on the screen or anything. I mostly wanted it for my consoles so I didn’t really plan to use the apps on the tv much, but I thought it would be nice and haven’t had a chance to set my consoles up yet. So I logged into Hulu and everything appeared to be ok, it let me sign in just fine. However, when I tried to actually watch something it would load for a few seconds and then give me the pop up message “Unfortunately, Hulu has stopped.” And it crashes. I tried to go to YouTube and inside the app it gives me the error “This isn’t available right now” or “An error has occurred”

I’m not sure if this is important but it’s also the only android device that I have. There was also no manual in the box. Any help would be greatly appreciated

It would be worth your time/experience to buy a $30 Roku or Android box.

Get a Chromecast to plug into it or just use your consoles. That company closed years ago and abandoned the TVs. The Android version has since been dropped by Hulu and some other apps too

Those TVs are ancient, and have been out of production for years. Walmart had a fire sale on them at the time for not much more than what you paid your “friend” for it. You got ripped off.

Check for any os updates and also apps update

Updated versions of those apps don't work well on that tv. You can Google for an app called Smart Tube Next and use it for YouTube. I also have this tv and haven't had a great desire to replace it yet.
