Google should add support for plex in the for you section

I pretty much already ignore all the stuff that was suppose to make Google TV special. I just go to my apps like I always have on Android TV. Making the icons smaller has not changed that. I suppose it will make people not accustomed to streaming use it differently.

What's grinding my gears the worst is the lack of Netflix support on the discovery tab.

Absolutely cripples the whole feature and makes it borderline useless for me since I primarily use Netflix.

I need a way to require a pin before installing anything, like my roku.

Reason is i have an autistic kid that has a thing for apps, so everything will get installed, hence the pin.

The recommendations are awful and I never find myself “oh I should watch that”. Got so annoyed at clicking “watched it” and “dis/liked” so many times, I switched to Wolf Launcher. Not looking back. Love the simplicity. Wish google tv worked out cause I love the Live tab and Play Next sections

Until my main tv (shield) gets these features I won't be using watchlist etc since Chromecast with google tv is for bedroom tv right now. I bet their data is really broken cause a lot of us are using this on our secondary TVs. Until every tv has this I'm not going to invest time into curating a centralized watchlist and feeding the algorithm. So once again we are in a scenario were google needs to play the long game, good luck being patient google and quit making user interface changes to irritate us and slow down adoption...

I just want to shut off any sources I don't own. I'm not subscribing to anything new. I'm definitely not renting or buying a movie.

Like others have said, better Plex support would be great.

I'd like to know what they did to the Google Assistant on my Shield Pro. I can invoke it from the remote, speak the command, have the command sent wherever it sends it to parse it, and execute the command, all before the grey bottom thingie that tells me it's listening can appear. And once it does appear, I have to wait a full minute, hit Back, wait some more, then hit Back a second time to dismiss the now-entirely-superfluous-since-the-command-was executed-minutes-ago grey Listening bar, and then finally I can manually unpause whatever I was watching, unless of course I wasn't watching anything, in that case it plays whatever is underneath the cursor. It's quicker, faster, and easier to get up and flip the switch to shut off my smart lights, thanks Google!
