I like the white one in design, don't like the fact that it's white though. Don't get the need for numeric buttons.
I like them. They look decent.
Although my favourite design of 'fully fledged' TV remotes has to be the BTTV Remote: https://photos.app.goo.gl/BmENwi8GzbkocPFEA . (old logo shown)
Does anyone know how can we (end-customers) buy one of those remotes?
I'd love to grab ahold of one. The only thing I'd wish is them making mandatory backlighting on remotes. Dunno why that's not a standard for any modern remote.
The black one looks similar to the one that came with my Android TV except mine has a few more buttons and none are blank and only Youtube and Netflix buttons are white.
Better get used to it, it will appear on quite a few Android TV devices going forward. At least it's functional.
Doesn't look too bad, better than some other devices, for sure. However, you can see the button-creep. Google obsessed about minimization, like no transport buttons, but then puts dedicated buttons for settings and some watchlist feature (that no one asked for). Not that bad, but I think they'll keep adding fairly useless buttons every so often, while refusing to add some of the tried-and-true stuff.
phones are too wide, remotes are too narrow. perfect between cushions.
No air mouse, no buy.
Who wants a white remote reflecting back at them while they’re trying to watch a TV in a dark room?! Yuck!
One feature I like is the volume button is on the face of the remote. I really don't like the volume buttons on the side of the new Chromecast remote.
